The SHKP Management Trainee Programme is a three-year programme designed to nurture future leaders of the Group, offering high-calibre graduates the best learning opportunities and career development support. Trainees will be exposed to SHKP’s diverse portfolio in property and non-property businesses to hone their career interests and expand their horizons. The programme aims to guide and support trainees to build their industry knowledge and cultivate their management and leadership capabilities. We look forward to our young talents taking up important roles and managing our businesses as SHKP thrives.
The three-year programme provides trainees with the opportunity to gain all-round exposure. In the first year, trainees of the Property Businesses will rotate to different departments and be familiarized with the Group’s business. Cross-departmental attachment training, classroom training, on-the-job coaching and action learning are offered to support the trainees’ development of management and functional competence. In the second and third years, trainees will be fully sponsored to take professional study to strengthen their professional skills. Throughout the programme, senior management, human resources and training staff will provide guidance and coaching to trainees to facilitate their learning and help them develop their potential
Non-Property Portfolio Businesses
Our trainees of Non-Property Portfolio Businesses will begin at Headquarters and then have separate attachments at two business units in the first 18 months of the programme. Trainees will then be posted at a designated business unit for 18 months of on-the-job training (as shown in the graphic below) to complete the three-year MT programme. Throughout the programme, trainees will: Participate in research projects led by experienced managers and prepare financial reports Support analyses on businesses while furthering their knowledge in financial control Develop hard skills in building Excel models, writing business papers and creating impactful presentations Gain basic understanding of the businesses in the portfolio and their competitive landscapes Conduct team presentations and discussions, polishing their communication skills

Our two-month Summer Internship Programme gives undergraduates practical work and training exposure to SHKP’s property and non-property portfolio businesses.
Interns will gain a better understanding of our core business and departmental operations through seminars and site visits to various properties and business units
- On-the-job Training
Interns will be attached to a department to gain hands-on experience, working on assignments and projects under the coaching of departmental supervisors
- Collective Learning
Interns are expected to share their learning experiences by delivering presentations at the end of the internship programme
- Corporate Events
Interns will be invited to join our corporate events such as CSR campaigns, recreation activities, volunteer services, etc.
- Feedback and Performance Evaluation
Department supervisors will provide feedback on interns’ performance to help them identify their strengths and potential for future career development
