TRAINEE: Valuation Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure compliance of valuations (economic, accounting, collateral) with norms and accounting standards (IFRS...)
• Enable Independent Price Verification process "IPV" across derivatives (Rates, Flow, Credit, Equities) in APAC,
• Participate in methodology design and calculation of valuation controls including IPV, fair value adjustments, IAS reserve and
• prudential valuation.
• Contribute to valuation framework design and governance led through Valuation Committees  
• Provide ad-hoc expertise & analysis to internal partners (FO, RISQ, Management) as and when needed
• Provide recommendations on new business developments (NPC...) with respect to valuation matters

PROFILE REQUIRED

• Hold a relevant Bachelors or Masters degree in Quantitative Finance, mathematics or Engineering or similar
• Good understanding of global market activities, trading strategies and product features, derivatives pricing  
• Programming skills (Python...)
• Understanding of data science, Machine learning is a plus
• Pro-active, rigorous, autonomous, and a strong ability to work under pressure.
• Strong logical thinking, good written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent English is mandatory

This is a fixed term 12 month Trainee contract with Societe Generale. You will form part of the team on a full time basis. Department Description

Based in Hong Kong, the role is part of APAC finance department for market activities, and functionally part of global valuation Group. The role reports to head of valuation Group in Asia, and works in close collaboration with central valuation team in Paris as well as internal partners (Trading, Market risk, Finance etc).
