TRAINEE: Front Office automation developer

RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will be responsible for automating workflow for Continuous Integration and Deployment of our software and its monitoring
• You will oversee designing, developing, and releasing projects linked to automation of the ecosystem
• You will work with other team members on both methodology and technical skills (including supportability, resiliency, and scalability of the solution)
• You will be researching about new technologies to share their benefits and explore them (including data analytics, monitoring, cloud)
• You will be managing small projects and be able to build up knowledge on Asian markets

PROFILE REQUIRED

• Hold a Bachelor or Master degree in a financial services related discipline e.g. Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology
• Good technical skills in modern coding languages, such as Python
• Knowledge on software testing and test automation using Python libraries like PyTest
• Knowledge in developing modern web applications using JavaScript frameworks (i.e. React, Angular, RESTful API)
• Knowledge on cloud technologies will be an advantage
• Knowledge on C#, C++ will be a plus
• Keen to learn
• Good communication skills and strong team spirit
• Fluent English is mandatory

This is a fixed term 12 month Trainee contract with Societe Generale. You will form part of the team on a full time basis. Department Description

Member of "Market Technology" department, the "Front Office development" team aims to design, implement, maintain, and support electronic trading software solutions for multiple trading desks.

By joining our team, you will work in a multi-cultural environment, encouraging exploration of new technologies and ideas, with a flat management structure, a high exposition and direct impact on trading activity.

Mission:

• We are pursuing our initiative to detect opportunities for automation in several core processes. To support this initiative the candidate will be embedded within the team in charge of deploying, maintaining, and supporting an application used by Front Office for trading on Asian financial markets.
• We are looking for DevOps members who are curious to understand and challenge processes, propose creative solutions, and develop them.
• Prior experience in banking is not mandatory. This is a great opportunity for software engineers who are passionate about technologies.
