INTERN: Equity Prime Brokerage

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the trading desk to build market sentiment reports using internal SG APIs, external data providers APIs and external website
• Support the team to automate some daily tasks perform by the trading team
• Participate in analyzing markets and our risks with Traders 

PROFILE REQUIRED

• Currently studying towards a Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Computer Science or similar
• Fully proficient in Python Demonstrate the capacity to work in a team environment, on collective success
• Display responsibility and act ethically
• Display commitment, demonstrating consideration for others
• Fluent English is mandatory 

This is a 1-3 month full-time winter internship from January to March with Societe Generale in Hong Kong whereby you will work within one business line / support function for the period. In order to apply for an internship opportunity with us, please ensure you are currently studying towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and that you are available for the 1-3 month period on a full-time basis.

Department Description

SG CIB is the Corporate and Investment Banking arm of the Societe Generale Group. Present in over 50 countries across Europe, the Americas and Asia. SG CIB provides corporate, financial institutions, investors and public sector clients with value-added integrated financial solutions.

Our team is in charge of the equity prime brokerage business for Asia. It is composed of more than 20 people including traders, sales and strategists. We deal with all equity products not including volatility risk. We cover many kinds of clients ranging from hedge funds to insurers or sovereign funds. In terms of activity, we manage indices replications, financing, stock loan, equity swaps...
