What you’ll do

  • You’ll work within the areas of Global Operations, Deputy Chief Operating Office, and the Chief Control Office (CCO). You’ll manage projects that will give you exposure to customer service delivery, risk and governance management, large-scale transformation projects, and support to our regional and country COO offices.
  • You will play a role in identifying processes that can be made more efficient to improve the services we provide to our colleagues and external customers.
  • Those who do well on the internship will be offered a position on our Graduate programme.

What you’ll learn

  • You’ll get an immersive introduction to HSBC and the world of Operations, including the roles of Deputy Chief Operating Officers and Chief Control Officers.
  • A tailored induction will bring you up to speed about the project you’ll work on. A Grad Coach will help you make connections and navigate your way within HSBC.
  • You’ll have hands-on opportunities to learn about Six Sigma, Agile, and project management, as well as soft skills that will set you up for a varied, international career.

Requirements: 

  • Available to work full time for 10 weeks commencing June 2024;
  • Obtained, or expected to achieve, a 3.2/4.0 cumulative GPA or equivalent 2.1 degree;
  • Fluent in English. Mandarin and/or Cantonese advantageous but not essential;
  • Legally permitted to work in Hong Kong.
