FOUNDATION TRAINING IN ALL OUR DISCIPLINES
We have developed a bespoke training course that is specifically for Legal Operations professionals and will equip you to assimilate basic concepts and learn the practical application and skills needed across all the different elements of our work. Additionally, the course will prepare you for the nature of the legal practice the firm conducts and the markets in which we and our clients operate, so you understand the Legal Operations context.
- Legal Project Management
- Process Design
- Digital Transformation
Over the course of the eighteen month graduate training programme you will gain experience in each of three different core areas within Legal Operations. You will spend between four and five months in each area receiving more hands-on, practical training and completing in-team assignments. You will work with experienced professionals in the different teams on client and internal matters, developing skills and contributing your ideas. You will be assigned a mentor to support your development and you will have continuing development and training opportunities throughout the programme. At the end, you will have the opportunity for a number of weeks to work in another team outside Legal Operations in the firm, whether in the practice or the wider business, or on secondment with a client in a Legal Operations role.
WORK IN DIFFERENT TEAMS
You will have undertaken core learning and gained experience of working in different teams within Legal Operations. You will start as a Graduate Analyst and, assuming you complete the programme successfully, you will join one of our teams as a Legal Operations Analyst. Our objective is to agree with you the best possible opportunity to use your individual skills for the benefit of our clients and lawyers, and to progress your capabilities and career at the firm. As you transition into your role, you will continue to receive training and mentoring to support your development.
Applications are open from graduates in any discipline. You will have a minimum of a 2:1 degree, fluent in English and ideally a Chinese language.
You will be a proactive self-starter, with a strong systems skill set and an ability to assimilate and see the potential of new systems. A valued team-player, with attention to detail and accuracy, you'll think laterally to propose new ideas and ways of doing things.
The key mind set for success in our Legal Operations team is a willingness to adapt in a rapidly evolving legal services environment, and a drive for continuous improvement.
