Energy & Real Assets Trainee - Aviation (One Year Contract)

The ideal candidate should complete their graduation requirements by Summer 2023 and is available to start the position in August 2023. Trainee program is one year to begin with and possible for extension up to 2 years in total, subject to performance and business needs.

Summary 

The trainee will assist the head of the team and other front officers with credit and portfolio reviews of existing clients and transactions, contribute to transaction evaluation and credit applications, and manage KYC reviews. The role will include occasional support for marketing and origination actions, industry/market research and the team's corporate planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process credit/portfolio reviews of existing counterparties and transactions, including KYC reviews of all clients and SPC borrower counterparties
• Actively contribute to credit applications, including associated profitability KPI calculations
• Origination support: assist with transaction evaluation (assets, credit, etc.),  preparation of marketing materials, proposals and pitches.
• Provide occasional support for preparation of materials used internally: market/country/asset analyses, corporate planning documents, etc.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree holder, preferred in Finance or Accountancy with less than 12 months’ full-time experiences 
• Good communication skills
• Self-motivated, Initiative, and team-player
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• IT literate
• Mathematically minded
• Good understanding of banking  
• Extensive sector knowledge
• Background knowledge of Aviation industry 
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin (French is a plus but is not mandatory)
