Whether you’re a full-time student interested in exploring what banking could offer you, or a graduate looking for an opportunity, we could have a programme to suit you.

Why BNP Paribas?

What makes us ‘The Bank for a Changing World’? Our unique approach to sustainable finance? Our ability to stay relevant to our clients and help them navigate fast-changing markets? Well, it’s these things and many more. But mainly, it’s our people. Our graduate and intern programmes are designed to equip you with the technical and personal skills that will help you embark on a successful career with us.

The APAC Graduate Program

Our two-year graduate programme has been designed to give you the support and development you need to start a successful career in financial services. You can join us in one of several business areas or support functions, and take on real responsibility from day one.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Apply as a recent graduate, final year undergraduate, or master’s student
  • You should have a GPA of 3.3/4 or above (or equivalent) in any discipline
  • You’ll need to be fluent in spoken and written English

HOW YOU’LL DEVELOP?

Induction

You will be provided with a comprehensive induction, where you will be immersed in group training and discover more about the BNP Paribas Group.

Training

From day one, you will start your business specific technical and financial training, alongside personal skills development aimed at equipping you with the knowledge you need to get you the best possible start in your career. Working alongside our teams of industry leading specialists, you will gain on-the-job training throughout our two-year program, taking you along a development path to build your expertise and broaden your base of skills. You will also have the chance to experience other parts of the business through cross-entity projects, which will help you understand how we approach complex work and give you the chance to develop a strong internal network.

Mentor & Buddy

Throughout the program, you will be mentored by experienced managers and team members, as well as pairing with a buddy from our early career cohorts who will make sure you are getting everything you need to grow.

The APAC Long Internship Program

If you’re a full-time student in your penultimate year, we can offer you a chance to learn more about BNP Paribas during a ten-week summer internship. The programme usually starts in May or June and continues into July or August, depending on the location.

You’ll learn on the job, take part in insight events, attend product and soft skills training, and experience professional networking gatherings. Do well, and you can expect to be considered for conversion to a full-time role when you graduate.

Come and Meet Us

If you want to find out more about careers at BNP Paribas, you can come and meet us in person at one of our regular events or campus presentations. If you can’t find an event near you right now, it’s always worth checking back later.

We conduct school-specific events in China, Hong Kong, and Singapore in addition to some virtually hosted events for students outside of these locations. You can learn more about these events by following us on LinkedIn for news and updates of events.

Interview Tips

Interviews are the most effective way for us to get to know one another. Here are some tips to give you more confidence, so you can be your best on the day.

BEFORE YOUR INTERVIEW

SHOW US

We want to know the real you, so tell us about what motivates you and drives your interest in finance; share with us why your skills and experience fit the role you are applying for. And remember, there are no right or wrong answers.

KNOW US

You should aim to get a good understanding of our business before you speak with us for the first time. The best place to start is our corporate website, but you should also keep up to date with the latest trends and developments in the financial sector in general.

Make sure you have fully read and understood the job description of the role you are applying for. By demonstrating to us that you have researched your role, you are also showcasing your enthusiasm about finance, our organisation and your business function.

ALIGN

Our business has four core values and a graduate competency framework. We will ask you competency-based questions so we can get to know you better. Relate your experiences using our STAR framework:

Situation/Task: What was required? Remember to set the scene. Action: What did you do? Be sure to tell us why you took that action. Result: What happened and what did you learn?

PRACTICE

Ensure that you rehearse answers to common interview questions.
