The Programme

For decades, Towngas has partnered with local universities and vocational institutes to run the Co-operative Education Programme and provide half/one year placement opportunities for students to gain hands on work experience within their field of study prior to graduation, thereby offering a platform for students to plan their career.

Taking part in the Programme not only gives students an actual work environment to apply their relevant skills and knowledge, but also exposes them to day-to-day operation of their desired role and job challenges that they may encounter in the future.

This year, we continue to welcome interested students to join the half / one-year Co-op Programme.  

Students are required to complete a work project assigned by their supervisors as part of the Programme.

The Co-op Programme covers a broad spectrum of business operations and offers a wide range of options for students to choose from: 

  • Business Administration/Management.
  • Business Analytics.
  • Energy.
  • Engineering.
  • Finance/Accounting/Economics.
  • Information Technology/Computer Science.
  • Logistics/Supply Chain Management.
  • Marketing.
  • Media/Communication/Journalism/Translation.

The programme period is 1 September 2023 – 31 August 2024.

Media/ Communication/ General - CAD-1/Co-op/2023 

The Role:

  • Assist in social media, digital publicity programmes and school engagement campaign.
  • Assist in data analysis, reports preparation and PPT creation.
  • Conduct market research and UAT for system enhancement.
  • Data input, scan documents and generate reports.
  • Involve in innovative project preparation and performance.
  • Perform business performance analysis.
  • Provide administrative support to the department.
  • Prepare PPT and reports for department meeting.
  • Provide support to general document handlings and ad-hoc projects.
  • Support website development and enhancement.
  • Support the writing, editing and production of publicity materials. 

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Undergraduate with major in any discipline.
  • Internet and social media savvy with knowledge of social media tools, video editing and graphic design software.
  • Creative, well-organized with good analytical skills.
  • Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Innovative, positive and willing to learn.
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD design and drawing (e.g.Solidworks).
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and Power Point).
  • Proactive and patient.
  • Self-motivated and result driven.
  • Willing to visit construction sites occasionally to understand site work conditions (under the supervision of Engineers).
