The Programme

For decades, Towngas has partnered with local universities and vocational institutes to run the Co-operative Education Programme and provide half/one year placement opportunities for students to gain hands on work experience within their field of study prior to graduation, thereby offering a platform for students to plan their career.

Taking part in the Programme not only gives students an actual work environment to apply their relevant skills and knowledge, but also exposes them to day-to-day operation of their desired role and job challenges that they may encounter in the future.

This year, we continue to welcome interested students to join the half / one-year Co-op Programme.  

Students are required to complete a work project assigned by their supervisors as part of the Programme.

The Co-op Programme covers a broad spectrum of business operations and offers a wide range of options for students to choose from: 

• Business Administration/Management.
• Business Analytics.
• Energy.
• Engineering.
• Finance/Accounting/Economics.
• Information Technology/Computer Science.
• Logistics/Supply Chain Management.
• Marketing.
• Media/Communication/Journalism/Translation.
• Science.
• Sustainability.

The programme period is 1 September 2023 – 31 August 2024.

Engineering - CSAD-2/Co-op/2023   

The Role:

• Involved in the digitalization project of corporate administrative procedure.
• Involved in ESG Online System Enhancement (version 2) for PRC Data Collection.
• Involved in CSAD Dashboard Construction & Implementation.
• Provide assistance on Automation, Mobility Enhancement & Data Analytics Projects.
• Provide support to general document handling and ad-hoc tasks. 

Required Skills and Abilities

• Undergraduate with major in Logistics Management / Industrial Engineering / System Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Penultimate Year of Study.
• Experience in database construction.
• Experience in SQL, VBA, SAP and / or Database Design Tools in University projects.
• Knowledge of Microsoft database-related applications, such as Access and SharePoint.
• PowerApps and PowerBI would be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse operation and management would be an advantage.
• Creative, well-organized with good analytical skills.
• Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Innovative, positive and willing to learn.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and Power Point).
• Proactive and patient.
• Self-motivated and result driven.
