The Programme

Towngas is committed to nurturing the younger generation by providing opportunities for them to accumulate hands-on experience and exposure in the actual workplace.  

Every year, we offer over 50 internship positions for university as well as technical and vocational school students.  

If you are looking for an exciting internship to be involved in a wide range of work. group projects, volunteering work etc., here's the perfect opportunity for you!

This year, we continue to welcome interested students to join our eight-week summer internship programme from June to August 2024.

Along with comprehensive on-the-job training and diverse learning experiences, our interns will also gain invaluable insights into Hong Kong’s gas industry through group project assignments on topics related to Towngas’ business.  

The internship programme covers a broad spectrum of business operations, and we welcome students from a wide range of fields, including but not limited to: 

• Business Administration/Management.
• Business Analytics.
• Energy.
• Engineering.
• Environmental Studies / Sustainability.
• Finance/Accounting/Economics.
• Information Technology/Computer Science.
• Logistics/Supply Chain Management.
• Marketing.
• Media/Communication/Journalism/Translation.

The internship period is 24 June 2024 – 21 August 2024.

• Assist in operation enhancement by adopting various technological advancement.
• Participate in process automation projects and related system developments.
• Provide support to general document handling and ad-hoc tasks.
• Assist in data analysis, reports preparation and PPT creation.
• Data input, scan documents and generate reports.
• Conduct UAT for system enhancement.
• Involve in innovative project preparation and performance.
• Perform business performance analysis.
• Provide administrative support to the department. 

Required Skills and Abilities

• Undergraduate with a major in Logistics Management / Global Supply Chain Management / Industrial Engineering / System Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Demonstrated skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Creative and well-organized.
• Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Innovative, positive and willing to learn.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and Power Point).
• Proactive and patient.
• Self-motivated and result driven.
• Well-organized with good analytical skills.
