TRAINEE: Data Analyst and Credit Administation Support

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will help perform data analytics to improve portfolio management and risk monitoring. You will act as a transversal coordinator on various credit related tasks which include:
  • Support the implementation and the automation of regular credit portfolio reporting.
  • Perform on-demand reports to address ad-hoc Management’s needs.
  • Enable effective control over various credit risk metrics and facilitate automation.
  • Play a key role in managing portfolio database.
  • Help leverage on data to improve clients monitoring and team organization (annual review schedule, weekly deal flow / pipeline) to deliver value to analysts, supervisors, and management.
  • Generate statistics to optimize portfolio allocation and workload across analysts.
  • Help monitor and keep track of the implementation status of key automation projects, including usage of automated financial spreading tool by CRE teams.
  • Help monitor and track certain portfolio data, including ECB Leveraged Lending status and Environment & Social Risk ratings.
  • Propose sustainable solutions to improve efficiency of the team via automation and task optimization.

PROFILE REQUIRED

  • Hold a relevant Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Good knowledge in data analytics and related field
  • Strong problem-solving ability with analytical thinking
  • Ability to analyse existing tools and databases and provide recommendations for improvement and optimization
  • Strong skills in Excel, Power Point, VBA, MS Access, Power BI, Phyton or equivalent coding skills
  • Quick learner and ability to multi-task
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to self-check
  • Fluent English is mandatory, with Mandarin being a plus

This is a fixed term 12 month Trainee contract with Societe Generale. You will form part of the team on a full time basis. In order to apply for the Trainee position please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of the Trainee contract.

Department Description

You will be part of the Credit Management Group (CRE) within the Global Banking and Advisory (GLBA) division of the bank. CRE is responsible for assessing the credit risk of all clients for Global Banking and Investor Solutions’ (GBIS) business lines and product groups. You will assist the Credit team from a data management angle.
