FY24 Summer Internship Programme -Full-time- Corporate Banking Department 2

The Programme

This is a paid four to six weeks full-time internship programme stationed in our IFC Office, on which you will have a first taste of the business world via learning about the basics of corporate banking, SMBC organization and compliance knowledge etc.  

What will you go through?

You will be paired up with an existing team member of the department and guided through the programme by the mentor and other business leaders of SMBC.

Brief introduction will be provided by various business teams on Corporate Banking, Syndication Finance, Environment Social Governance (“ESG”) Finance, Non-recourse Finance, Debt Capital Market (“DCM”) and Equity Capital Market (“ECM”).

On-the-job training will be available throughout the entire programme with opportunities to provide support on material preparation, the process of Know Your Customer (“KYC”), spreading for credit application etc.

At the end of the training, you will be given an opportunity to present a designated topic assigned by a business leader. 

Required Skills and Abilities

• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficient in Japanese (with JLPT preferred) will be an advantage.
