Are you a student interested in a career in investing, and graduating between December 2024 and July 2025? If so, we invite you to apply to our 8-week summer internship that runs from June through August 2024.

Point72 Academy Summer Internship

The Point72 Academy is an investment analyst training program that will equip you to define your career path in an ever-changing industry, and the internship is the first step in that journey. We teach you the fundamentals of finance, research, and insights into the public markets.
 
You will learn what it’s like to be a research analyst through classroom instruction led by former investment professionals, portfolio casework that will support a real investment team, and time with your dedicated mentor.

Career Progression

The majority of our Summer Internship participants to date have received offers to join the full-time, 10-month Academy Associate Program. US internship and all full-time program participants work in our New York City offices during classroom training, but Point72 has locations around the world and offers placements in multiple cities and countries. You will have the opportunity to select and rank multiple offices in your online application should you be interested in more than one. 

What you’ll do:

• Learn the basic knowledge and skills you’ll need to add value as an analyst alongside your internship peers.
• Train on accounting, modeling, and presenting skills, in addition to our compliance program.
• Take those skills and sit on a desk with an investment team to experience the day-to-day life of an equities analyst and learn about one of the several sectors our Portfolio Managers cover.
• Working with Academy coaches, you will round out the internship diving deeper into data analysis and prepare a final pitch on an investment idea.
