About the business division:
In 2017, Deutsche Bank announced its decision to undertake a partial initial public offering of Deutsche Asset Management, to unlock the full potential of the organisation for its clients and employees, while producing considerable returns for shareholders. On March 23, 2018, DWS was officially listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
As a fully integrated Asset Management business with strong client offerings across Alternatives, Active and Passive platforms, we can deliver the full breadth of these capabilities under a single global identity.
DWS has over 60 years of investment experience, offering retail, corporate and institutional clients a comprehensive set of strengths and capabilities that few competitors in the world can match.
Division specifics about the graduate role
Our Graduate Programme is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to help our world-class clients meet their various needs. You will build a broad knowledge base while honing your skills through four weeks of immersive classroom sessions with our best-in-class training providers.
Your orientation will include an innovation project designed to develop entrepreneurial thinking in collaboration with a team of peers and a dedicated coach provided by the business. To support your induction into DWS, you will also have access to a buddy (typically a recent graduate who can provide practical support as you settle in to the business), and a dedicated mentor (an experienced people-manager who will support and coach you as you build your career in Asset Management).
Upon completion of your training you will be working on our day-to-day business operations along with special projects where strong analytical skills and a deep interest in capital markets, investments and credits will be essential. You will undertake a series of rotations to broaden your exposure to the various facets of Asset Management, before being assigned permanently to one of the following divisions;
- Client Coverage
- Traditional Asset Classes (Active, Passive, Trading)
Throughout the programme you will gain broad exposure at the heart of a progressive business and a thorough understanding of a range of areas including fixed income, equity and foreign exchange, emerging markets, exchange traded funds, and alternative investments.
What we look for:
We recruit highly intelligent graduates who are ambitious and adaptable. They have degrees in many different disciplines. We have very comprehensive training programmes that will give you all the technical knowledge you’ll need to build a career with us. Above all, we are looking for entrepreneurial people who thrive best in a diverse culture where innovation and agile thinking abound.
You should not only be passionate about the world of finance, but also show a keen interest in Asset Management.
