GC5 Launch
We rebuilt our GradConnection website and launched our best design yet!
We took on feedback from employers and students and enhanced our website design and functionality for a better look and user-friendly feel. Some of the new functionalities include:
- STEM Booster – Employers now have the option to boost their profile to target students from Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics disciplines.
- Q&A Sector - Employers can now open themselves to direct questions from our student database. The Q&A platform sits on your employer profile all year around, so curious talent can follow previous conversations. Check it out with Hang Seng Bank, who first trialled it.
- Facebook Live – Employers can amplify their attraction campaigns with a GradConnection-hosted Facebook Live episode that we can boost to your custom audience.
- Diversity profiles – Enhance your employer brand by promoting your diversity programs and initiatives. Employers can purchase a Diversity Profile Pack to highlight their Equal Opportunity Programs.
SEAAGE Conference in Singapore
We attended the 2018 SEAAGE Conference in Singapore to meet with employers and suppliers and to present the findings of our 2017 Returnee Survey. Twenty-five per cent more employers participated in our survey than the previous year, kindly sharing their hiring preferences and experiences with returning students. 2018 GradConnection Returnee Summit
The GradConnection Returnee Summit returned to Shanghai and Hong Kong last year, bigger and better than 2017. We were thrilled with the turnout, welcoming over 100 Asia-based employers, over 2000 returnee students, and 25 university career centre representatives from Australia, UK, and the USA over the two days. We’re still finalising the details for our 2019 Returnee Summit – so stay tuned for our official announcement and invitation.
GradConnection’s Employer Round Table with Bloomberg
In October, we hosted our first exclusive employer round table with Bloomberg to discuss the challenges and insights of graduate recruitment. We covered topics such as like, marketing and branding, campus engagement, candidate management and recruitment processes, diversity and early engagement initiatives, systems, technology, and data, and the importance of business stakeholder partnerships. HKIHRM Conference in HK
2018 was the first year we attended the Hong Kong Institute for Human Resource Management Conference. The conference is one of the most important people management events in Asia, and provided us with the opportunity to talk to and connect with more local Hong Kong employers.
