Requirement

We are looking for high-calibre graduates, with a Master or Bachelor degree and with no more than 2 years' working experience; or final year students from either Hong Kong or overseas universities. Students from all academic background, including Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Facility / Property Management, IT, Language & Communications, Corporate Communications, and all other related disciplines are welcomed.

You should have a strong academic record and the following attributes: 

  • High mobility & willingness to work and pursue a professional career in mainland China

Towngas Graduate Trainee Programme 2017

 

Towngas' Graduate Trainee (GT) Programme is part of our Integrated Leadership Pipeline scheme which aims at developing young talents. We are looking for graduates who will help us to grow our energy businesses in Hong Kong and Mainland. The Towngas' two-year Graduate Trainee Programme provides you with extensive professional knowledge through different functional attachments as well as project assignments in mainland China and Hong Kong. Whole person development through taking active participation in voluntary services, personal effectiveness learning, mentoring and coaching are what we could offer to develop your leadership potential.

We are recruiting Graduate Trainees in the following business divisions:

  • Hong Kong Core Business
    The trainee will be attached to the core business in Hong Kong for 18 months and has the opportunity of a 6-month Mainland attachment.
  • New Energy Business
    The trainee will be attached to the core business in Hong Kong for 6 months, and followed by an 18-month Mainland attachment related to the new energy business. 

Programme Structure

As a GT, you will be exposed to a wide range of training, which covers job attachments to our businesses in both Hong Kong and mainland China. This ensures you acquire the essential knowledge and skills for building your career at Towngas. Some of the opportunities include:








 

“Training covers attachments with our energy related businesses in both Hong Kong and mainland China ensuring you acquire a wide spectrum of knowledge and skills before you move on with your career in Towngas.”

Career Path

As your career with us progresses, you will gradually acquire those general management skills that form the foundation of all Towngas leaders. You will gain a lot of practical and project experience through attachments to different business units. To ensure that the learning objectives are met, there will be on-going assessments and opportunities for trainees to present their insights to senior management.

Career Path

The Group will assist Graduate Trainee to attain relevant qualification from the following professional bodies:

  • The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE);
  • Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers (IGEM);
  • Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA); or
  • CFA Institute

On successful completion of the programme, GTs would have gained valuable experience in their professions and rotated across most of our business sectors, for example marketing and sales, strategic development, engineering, customer services, finance, etc. You will have the opportunity to become a specialist or a section, department or business manager in Hong Kong or the Mainland China.
