Data & Analytics Intern - FCAS Programme - 6-Month Internship

The Programme

This internship is aimed towards AI practitioners who are interested in joining the Data Science Product & AI team.

The intern's role is to work towards the deployment of machine learning models and improving the AI functions for the AIAHK.

The intern will work in collaboration with data scientists to understand use cases, develop, document and prove the value of these solutions.

The tasks will be assigned based on the priority and the intern's expertise and domain preference. The role demands an inclination towards rapid learning and adaptability. 

What You Will Do

• To work with the AIAHK Data Science and AI Product team to deploy Machine Learning projects by refactoring python code, applying supervising scripts, setting pipelines, and scheduled jobs in accordance with the CICD process.
• To conduct POCs using python and in the Azure ecosystem to improve the functions of the internal AI platform. Work closely with internal users to understand needs, develop, test and propose maintenance framework.  
• Other tasks may also be assigned: (a) Use of Large Language Models (LLM) for knowledge organization and Q&A chatbot, (b) Test and propose a data labelling framework and standard, (c) Develop synthetic data using VAE based solution, (d) Conduct automated testing using LLM, etc. among other machine learning related tasks. 

Required Skills and Abilities

Education Background:

Currently in tertiary education.

Discipline Preferred:              

Computer Science or STEM related disciplines.

Technical Skills:

• Familiarize in Python & advanced machine learning.
• Sound knowledge in Large Language Models, software development, Azure or other cloud platforms.

Language Proficiency:

Proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin) & English.

Others:                                        

• Exposure in open-source or other personal machine learning related side projects is preferred.
• Knowledge or passionate in insurance industry, AI & Machine Learning.
• Good communication and analytical skills.
• You are required to obtain the relevant license(s) if your job involves regulated activities.
