2024 AIA Group Office Summer Internship Programme - Group Internal Audit

The Programme 

The purpose of our 10-weeks programme is to provide students who are passionate in Insurance industry with the opportunity to understand our business through hands-on work experience, projects and programme activities. 
 
Internship Period: 11 June 2024 to 16 August 2024. 
 
What you will learn and develop: 
 
Depending on the suitable development opportunities in Group Internal Audit... 
 
In the Information Technology Audit / Corporate Audit team, you may be involved in: 

• Various stages of audit engagements, where appropriate, including audit planning and fieldwork, progress reporting, tracking of management actions and other administrative tasks.
• Supporting the team in meeting GIA’s Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Assurance Review requirements.  

In the Professional and Technical Services team, you may be involved in: 

• Administration of audit software and other tools and templates adopted widely in GIA. 
• Data generation, analysis, and visualization.
• Preparation of reporting materials to Board Audit Committee and senior management.  

In the Data Analytics team, you may be involved in: 

• Supporting execution of analytics within GIA.
• Assisting the development of data analytical tools/models to suit the overall internal auditing framework, approach and methodology.  

You may also be involved in other areas in Group Internal Audit such as staff engagement event coordination and other ad hoc assignments.  
 
The opportunity will equip the candidates with better understanding in the internal audit function of a large world leading insurance organization. 

Required Skills and Abilities

University students who are curious about the insurance industry, open-minded to accept new challenges, able to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment. 
 
What you will need: 

• Students from all backgrounds and fields of study who are in your penultimate year of study. 
• Excellent teammate and curious learner. 
• Ability to multi-task, quick to adapt and able to work in fast paced work environment. 
• Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Strong digital literacy required, proficient in Microsoft Office. 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview in March / April 2024.
