The Programme 

The purpose of our 10-weeks programme is to provide students who are passionate in Insurance industry with the opportunity to understand our business through hands-on work experience, projects and programme activities. 
 
Internship Period: 11 June 2024 to 16 August 2024. 
 
What you will learn and develop: 
 
Depending on the suitable development opportunities in Group Finance... 
 
In the Integrated Reporting team, you may be involved in: 

  • Finance closing & consolidation processes. 
  • Financial Reporting and analytics. 
  • Internal Controls and governance process for the group, 
  • Project support and coordination.
  • Budgeting cycle for this team. 

In the Management Reporting & Planning team, you may be involved in: 

  • User requirement collection, testing and rollout of the Group-wide finance management information system. 
  • Data verification and preparation of management reports.
  • Strategic planning template revamp and budget data verification. 

In the Group Taxation team, you may be involved in: 

  • Direct tax reporting (e.g., Interim tax disclosure note, effective tax rate analysis and other Group Tax deliverables, etc.). 
  • Direct tax compliance (e.g., HK profits tax return filing).
  • Various tax projects.  

 You may also be involved in other Finance areas such as Financial Business Management and Group Sourcing.  
 
The opportunity will equip the candidates with a better understanding of the head office finance function of a large world leading insurance organization. 

Required Skills and Abilities

University students who are curious about the insurance industry, open-minded to accept new challenges, able to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment. 
 
What you will need: 

  • Students from all backgrounds and fields of study who are in your penultimate year of study. 
  • Excellent teammate and curious learner. 
  • Ability to multi-task, quick to adapt and able to work in fast paced work environment. 
  • Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Strong digital literacy required, proficient in Microsoft Office.  

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview in March / April 2024.
